Up for auction now is a Damon IEC Table-Top Micro Hematocrit Centrifuge.  This item is used, but is still in great physical condition.  The lid, the rotor, the knob and the brake switch are all intact and in good shape.  Please refer to the pictures provided for further cosmetic information.

We were able to test this centrifuge, and it works pretty well but has a couple of problems.  It only spins up to 9000 rpm, and also the on/off switch only works intermittently.  Unit takes power without any problems, and when we set the timer, the unit began spinning up.  After the set amount of time, the motor turned off, and the rotor began slowing down.  We used the 'brake' button to slow it down faster.  Once the rotor had stopped completely, we pressed the 'brake' switch again, and this time it began spinning the rotor.  From what we can find about this unit, the brake switch also doubles as a 'coast' mode (runs without timer until the switch is released). 

From our testing, this centrifuge will likely need some repair.  Winner of this auction will receive the centrifuge, exactly as described and pictured.
