Exceptional vintage Danish desk with absolutely stunning teak wood grains. Unusual size, uncommon design. Long and
slim with full function and a design that you will love
- Floating desk top, sculpted drawer handles, double pedestal base, and an "invisible" center drawer. Desk top is narrower than most which is perfect for a laptop computer in today's home. A real beauty that is fully functional without taking up the whole room. Most unusual piece that will look great and serve you well.
Beautifully crafted with fine details. First off, the wood grains on the drawer fronts is simply out of this world. Desk top is a light teak with contrast banding. Tucked into the front desk top edge is a tiered drawer that is completely flush to the edge when closed. The table top "floats" above the cabinet section which houses two drawers on each side. Please note the handles, these are not the average wimpy sculpted handles but substantial in size and thickness. These are the same lighter teak as the top. Plenty of room in every drawer to hold everything you need. The middle drawer is shallow at the front and deep toward the rear, lined with a black felt type of material. In the knee hole area there is an additional shelf. Construction is teak veneers over a wood body. The desk top is particle board with veneers, back is unfinished. Very substantial and sturdy piece.

Condition - this looks amazing for it's age. We think it
must have been refinished at some point as the semi-matte varnish finish is too nice. Nary a scuff or scratch and the top is just about flawless.
That said, we do note a couple of very minor things -
-- There is a repair on the corner of the right lower cabinet. This is the upper right corner. Subtle but it is visible.
-- While taking photos we noticed the repair actually goes within the framework of the desk to the back side corner. There is glue but it's on the back. We also noticed the table top dips 3/32"lower on one side. So the front right top corner is ever so slightly lower than the left front corner. You would probably never ever notice this if we didn't mention it. It's a good repair and everything is very stable.
- The black felt lining has wear. You can always pull it out and use paper lining.
-- A light scuff in the center of the desk top that we could not get a picture of, it's so light.
--- Small nicks and bumps around the edges and drawer pulls that are all small.
As you can see in the photos, these are all minor things. Overall, this is in very, very good condition.
