Danish Sterling Silver Milk Jug Georg Jensen 1915-1930

Superb sterling silver milk jug / creamer, made in Denmark by Georg Jensen and fully marked for 1915-1930.

This is a lovely early Georg Jensen cream jug in pattern no. 1. It is of superb design for which Georg Jensen is famous with gently curved sides, a simple band around the centre, all over gently spot hammered finish and a wood side handle with a simple band of beading where the wood meets the silver.

The creamer is just under 4-1/2 inches / 114 mm wide and it stands 2-1/2 inches / 63 mm high. It weighs 107 grams.

The piece is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair.

The underside bears good clear hallmarks - GI 925S, the crowned Georg Jensen mark for 1915-1930, 'Dessin GJ', 'Denmark Sterling' and '1A' for the pattern and size number.

The underside also bears London import marks for 1931 and sponsor's mark of GS for George Stockwell.

I accept payment via Paypal, debit or credit cards as well as personal cheques in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank. For international customers, by arrangement payment may also be done via bank wire transfer.

I will post worldwide and I aim to despatch items within 3 days from receipt of payment. Shipments within UK are via Royal Mail Special Delivery next day service. Overseas shipments are via Royal Mail International signed for service. If you require shipment via courier service (eg TNT/UPS etc), this can be arranged at additional cost by mutual agreement.

All items are well packed in brand new carton boxes and appropriate bubble wrap / tissue paper etc.
