This item is 100% New and has never been opened. It is in the same condition that we received it in. There are small strips of tape placed  by the manufacturer on the package to keep it from coming open. It has not been opened by us, instead, it came directly from the manufacturer like this. All of the packages have the small strips of tape on them.
