The Variscope microscope family of optical instruments is made by one of the largest "private label" optical component fabricators in the world. Your microscope is made by the same technicians and on the same production line as optical instruments for the world's leading optical instrument brands. While this is the same instrument you might see in a science catalog for thousands of dollars, by developing the Variscope brand, the factory is able to sell the same product directly to us for much, much less. This microscope is brand new and has never been removed from the original factory packaging. Premium Features for High Quality Stereoscopic Imaging: This microscope is designed for professional grade viewing of a wide range of specimens. This microscope is manufactured with a .8x to 4.0x stereo zoom objective made from premium ground optical glass. Used in conjunction with the included ultra-wide field 10x (20mm) stereo eyepieces, you can achieve a continuous zoom magnification range of 8x through 40x right out of the box. We offer a range of optional eyepieces and objectives in our eBay store as well. With our optional 20x eyepieces, you can increase the continuous magnification range from 16x to 80x. Threaded auxiliary objective lenses are also available in .5x, 1.5x and 2x powers for even more options with a maximum range of 4x to 160x magnification possible. This microscope has a trinocular viewing port to allow for attachments of cameras, dual viewing equipment and CCD video. Ideal for Gem & Jewelry Inspection: This microscope is ideal for inspecting and grading gemstones and jewelry, including diamonds. The microscope comes with a gem and specimen tweezer clamp and a dark field condenser. The dark field condenser assures that any light emitted from the lower light source passes through the specimen for optimal viewing. That is, no light rays from the lower light source travel directly into the objective or your eye unless they pass through the specimen first. This enables you to view gemstones and other translucent objects without the visual distraction of ambient light entering your eye . . . only light that has passed through the gemstone will be visible to you. Ultra-Comfort Ergonomic Microscope Design: This stereo microscope has ergonomic features to make your microscope viewing as comfortable as possible. The main microscope head swivels 360 degrees for viewing from any angle, and the head itself sits at a comfortable 45 degree incline. The eyepieces sit in a gemel type assembly, allowing for maximum flexibility in adjusting the interpupillary distance. There are dual diopter focusing adjustments, and molded rubber eyecups are provided for your comfort. The focusing knob is on both the right and left side of the scope allowing for easy adjustment with either the right or left hand. Unlike many cheaper stereo zoom microscopes, this model allows for the continuous zoom range to be adjusted from either the left or the right side. In addition, the entire microscope head mounts on a height adjustable base, allowing the entire scope head to be adjusted higher or lower to accommodate very large specimens. Built-In Dual Halogen Light Source: This microscope has dual built-in infinitely variable halogen lighting. The upper and lower light sources are controlled independently. A unique feature of this microscope is that the upper light can be removed or aimed independently. This enables you to make fine lighting adjustments from above and below the specimen -- a premium feature not available in cheaper models. Spare halogen bulbs are included with your microscope. Return Policy

We only sell high-quality products that meet most rigorous standards for production quality. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, for any reason, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your item to request a return authorization. We are happy to refund your entire purchase price of any item that is returned in its original packaging and in new condition, less our actual original shipping costs.
For items that are not returned with the original packaging and cartons, we do assess an additional 20% restocking fee, provided the items are received in new, re-saleable condition.

Warranty Info
We will replace or repair any microscope or accessory that arrived damaged, broken or defective at our expense if you notify us within 30 days after you receive the item.
After 30 days, for Variscope brand microscopes and accessories, except digital cameras, your item is covered by a 5 year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Variscope digital microscope cameras and other electronic items are covered by a 1 year limited warranty. This warranty covers parts and labor to repair or replace defective parts. You are required to return the item at your expense for service and repair. Please contact us by e-mail for more information or to initiate a warranty claim. |
