This Weather Station includes two major components. The Vantage Pro2 Display Console (pictured above) and the Integrated Sensor Suite (pictured below).
The Display Console includes On-Screen Display of current weather conditions, on-screen graphing capabilities, and much more! It also provides easy-to-read Quick-View Icons that show you the Weather Forecast at a glance - sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rain or snow. Plus a moving ticker-tape display gives you even more details.
The innovative Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) combines the Rain Collector, Temperature and Humidity Sensors, and Anemometer into one package --- making setup easier than ever and improving performance and reliability.
Plus for improved accuracy, the ISS Temperature and Humidity Sensors are housed inside a Radiation Shield. The Radiation Shield, attached to the botttom of the ISS, protects against solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat.
No FCC license is required to operate the Wireless Vantage Pro2. The US Version of the Wireless Vantage Pro2 Model 6152 is FCC Certified for operation in the United States. It however does not comply with other countries that require CE Certification for use of this product outside of the United States. In addition, Ham Radio Operators should research RFI issues when choosing to use the Wireless Version of this product.
- The Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station with Standard Radiation Shield from Davis Instruments includes the Vantage Pro2 Console/Receiver, Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS), and ISS Mounting Hardware. The ISS includes the Rain Collector, Temperature and Humidity Sensors, Anemometer, and 40' (12 m) of Anemometer Cable that electrically connects the Anemometer to the ISS.
- The Vantage Pro2 Display Console may be powered using either the included AC Power Adapter or with three C-size batteries (not included). The ISS is powered by a Solar Panel with a Battery Backup.
- The ISS Line-of-sight Wireless range is up to 1000' (300 m) outdoors. You can increase this range by adding the Optional Vantage Pro2 Wireless Repeater(s).
