This is a 1980s DeRosa Bike I had built for me in the 80s. It is still the fastest bike I have ever had ,What do I mean by that? In the Guitar world sometimes you get a Guitar that for some reason reason sounds better than it should which means as it ages it gets better & better.From day one this bike just put all the energy into the ground and wasn't eaten up by the frame or wheels.Soft frames or bad frames will absorb the energy you are putting into it and not into the road.It is quiet, smooth, a work of art.It is actually a 12 speed so the gearing is very smooth and and close which is great on hills  Due to a car accident (No bike was involved) I can no longer ride it. I have kept it around because I just could not bring myself to sell it. Back than I think I put $4000.00+ into it with every extra thing I could find. Everywhere I brought it they would offer me $600-$800 for the Campy brakes but I didn't know why except they are like Porsche brakes.They are the Delta breaks that I see people asking $800 for.The only thing that is not Campy are the peddles but I have the originals. It looks best with white tape and white seat which I have.The components are most likely C Record. It has ware on the paint on the bars on the bottom from dirt and sand hitting it but it has a silver decal in that spot and I am trying to get the decal than the area can be sanded and fixed up. The frame has chips here and there ,it's not perfect but it is a classic. The wheels are Campy Omega Hardox rims,32 spoke,clinchers,campy hubs, I have had many people ask to buy the frame.Why not buy the bike and keep the frame and sell off the componants. What makes this bike so great is the combination of everything thats on it so why take it apart.The Breaks are GREAT,the gears are smooth and quiet,what can you do to improve it so much.I suggest you buy it and if you don't like the components you will make your money back on them bt I know once you ride it you will see what I mean.It is just one of those perfect match ups you have beentrying to put together for years.
