Up for auction is a wonderful art deco glass perfume bottle with atomizer. It was made by DeVilbiss in the 1920s-1930s. The body of this perfume bottle is primarily cranberry in color with ornate gold accents. The inner tube to this perfume bottle is made of glass. The gold colored cloth tube and squeeze ball of the atomizer are still pliable. I believe that they are newer replacement pieces to the perfume bottle, and they work great! This perfume bottle measures 7 1/4" tall and 1 1/4" in diameter at its widest part. The base of the perfume bottle measures 2 1/4" in diameter. This perfume bottle is DeVilbiss, and the gold writing on the bottom of the base of the perfume bottle reads "DeVilbiss" in the center. This perfume bottle is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The top of the base of the perfume bottle has some very minor gold gilt loss (please see photo #8 in particular). There is also a very minor bit of fading of the cranberry color near the top of the perfume bottle (see photo #12). I don't believe that this perfume bottle has ever held perfume. This is a lovely example of a vintage DeVilbiss perfume bottle and would be a great addition to any perfume bottle collection! I do have another DeVilbiss perfume bottle listed in live auction that nearly matches this one. It is a dauber, but the cranberry color is a little deeper and the gold gilt a little heavier, so I cannot list them as a set. But, they display very well together. I have photos of both perfume bottles in that listing (#200403989432) so that any interested buyers can see the two bottles together.
