Harley Davidson “1957 SPORTSTER”

These tokens are part of a commemorative edition made for the 60th anniversary of the Harley Davidson, Sturgis, SD Rally.

 

These tokens are from 2000.

 

The most recent Sturgis Rally casino token sets made were in 2008.

 

No tokens were made for the 2009 Rally.

 

It is quite likely that no other Sturgis Rally casino tokens will be made in the future.  Apparently the tokens are too expensive to make and the casinos are now strictly using (or soon will be using) the new “Ticket-in, Ticket-out” machines – no more tokens – just pieces of paper spit out by the machines.

 

 

 

The tokens are –

 

  • Silver colored
  • 1-1/2” in diameter
  • Used in the slot machines in downtown Deadwood, SD

The front of the token has a picture of a Harley Davidson “1957 Sportster” motorcycle, and reads:

The tokens have scuff marks from several years of use in slot machines.  Please refer to pictures for quality.

 

As most casinos are going to the “Ticket-in / Ticket-out” machines, these gaming tokens are becoming harder and harder to find.
