Old Deagan Bars are simply the best!!  Old growth rosewood bars sound magnificent.  This is much better than a pit xylophone because the bars are standard width -- the same size as th 870, which is the 3 1/2 octave version.

This 865 is fantastic for gigging and practicing.  Portable with a small "footprint" for set-ups.  Full professional sound!!
You can also play most xylophone excerpts on this instrument.  Resonators are nickel plated brass.

There are 2 cracked resonators (not a big deal) and some rust on plating.

The bars have never been tuned, but you can send them to Century Mallet Instruments in Chicago for re-tuning and re-finishing...they do a fantastic job and the bars will be like new!

This is my 2nd 865 and I don't need 2 of them.  It's absolutely the best portable xylophone there is!
