Dean Koontz SIGNED RARE UK 1st DARKNESS COMES Book +COA

FlatSigned by Dean Koontz, a prolific and bestselling American author!  This scarce first U.K. issue copy of Darkness Comes preceded the first American publication.  "Dean Koontz's latest horror thriller is composed with all the skills that distinguished Whispers, Night Chills and Phantoms.  'Dean Koontz is several steps beyond Stephen King in the ability to make you look over your shoulder to be sure something's not following you' - The Weekly".  A fantastic collector's item! 

Signature has been certified by Global Authentication Inc., the premier authentication service! Hardcover in original jacket with a signature and an authentication sticker on the half title page (GAI # GV 485889).  1984 is printed on the title page and no subsequent printings are listed on the copyright page.  £9.95 net price is intact on jacket.

Jacket and book have aged moderately well but show some signs of wear.  Jacket has some bumping and a few tiny closed tears on some corners, some light toning throughout, faint dampstain along bottom edge of spine, some tape residue on reverse sides of covers and on flaps (the protective mylar cover is attached to the front flap in two spots), all flap corners intact.  Book has original black cloth-bound boards with silver spine lettering, some light bumping and rubbing on extremities, some faint dusting on surfaces, spine has a forward lean.  Pages are clean aside from a few exceptions: some tape residue/toning on end pages, small numeral marking on top right corner of free front end page, faint pencil markings on top right corner of half title page. 

FlatSigned means HAND SIGNED on the page, not personalized (as in "To Billy") or signed on an attached sticker or bookplate. A book which has been FlatSigned is almost always a better investment and is far more desirable than a book that is personalized or contains a signed sticker/bookplate.
