Laboratory ball valves shall have a forged brass valve body, a removable
ten serration hose end and a [black nylon] [color-coded nylon] [forged
brass]* lever-type handle with a full view color-coded index disc. Valves
shall have a floating chrome plated brass ball and molded TFE seals.
Valves shall be certified by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
Lever handle is available in black nylon (standard),
color-coded nylon or forged brass. The handle
requires less than 5 foot-pounds to actuate, making
the valve ideal for ADA applications.
Valve body has been changed from bar stock to a
brass forging for sleeker, more attractive styling.
Valve is certified for use with natural gas
by the Canadian Standards Association
under ANSI Z21.15-1997/CGA9.1-M97.
As before, the valve incorporates a chrome
plated brass ball and molded Teflon seals.
for use with natural gas under ANSI Z21.15. Where used for high purity
gases, valves shall be specially cleaned, lubricated and packed. Valves
shall be individually tested at 125 PSI air pressure and shall be rated for
use at working pressures up to 75 PSI air.
