Important:

This unit is NEW, but it has been in my stock for a long time.  I've moved it around several times and there are very minor scratches on the chuck surface.  When you "grind-in" this chuck, it should clean up very nice.

Anyway, I've listed it as used and demo, 'cause it don't look completely new, but it has never been sold.

Notes:

• First, look at the PIC of the data tag.  The first value is V=90.  This chuck is made by Walker Hagou for Kent Industrial.  Kent Industrial Surface Grinders come with built in chuck power supply that outputs 90VDC.  This is the chuck that Kent has been shipping with their surface grinders for the past several years.  The CHUCK CONTROL built into a Kent Industrial Surface Grinder puts out the proper voltage (90VDC) and amps for this chuck.  This sale is just for the chuck.  You must have a Kent Industrial Grinder with a working chuck control that outputs the 90VDC, OR a chuck control with the proper output.  You can check with Walker to see if you can buy a chuck power supply/control.  Also, you might be able to get a chuck control from Kenetsu.  Finally, I suppose if you are an electrical engineer or rocket scientist, you could build yer own power supply from scratch.  Be sure to put in a circuit to not only reverse polarity (release), but set to null state and demag yer part.
• The second value on the data tag is A=1.1.  I assume this means 1.1 amp draw, which seems to be about right.
• The third value on the data tag is NR=220.  Do you know what this means? I don't have a clue.  If you know the answer, I'll post it to this listing and give you an "atta-boy".
• The fourth and last value on the data tag is MOD=UG.  This is Walker Hagou designation for the "UNIGRIP universal precision Electromagnetic chuck with continuous transverse poles for modern grinding"......whew.  LOOK AT THE PICS OF THE WALKER HAGOU PROPAGANDA...

A Few Words About the POLES:

This chuck has TRAVERSE POLES.  The large poles are 3mm wide and the small poles are 0.5mm wide.  The pole spacing is 5mm for all poles.  What do this mean?  Well, I'm no expert....but this chuck is better than "standard pole" where there are less poles spaced further away.  However, it is probably not as good as a magnetic chuck with a "fine pole" designation.  Fine pole chucks are used to grind "itty-bitty" parts.  My good old daddy told me a good rule.  The part can't be smaller than three poles and the space between 'em.  So in this case, it would be a 14mm square part would be the smallest you could grind without whipping it off the chuck.  LOOK AT MY PIC SHOWING POLE DATA.  LOOK AT THE WALKER INFO PIC.

Shipping:

Net weight of this puppy is about 240 lbs.  BUT, on a pallet and shrink wrapped, the shipping weight will be 300 lbs.  KNOW your freight cost before you bid!!!  This might prevent STDs (Severe Transaction Distresses.)  I've enabled the Freightquote thingy.

Warranty:

I'm sure this works, cause it was bought NEW from Kent Industrial.  There is no warranty, but I will offer a 7 day return.  If you return it freight prepaid, I will refund the purchase price, but not the original freight.  If you return it in a melted, blackened, otherwise messed up condition......you will not get yer money back.
