This beautiful drop point hunter is made from high contrast Damascus, which has been forged using 52100, 15n20, 5160 and nickel. I have several knives of my own made by Dennis, and I have always been very impressed with the quality of workmanship and durability of his knives. This knife is certainly a high quality handmade! Blade length is 4 1/4", handle length is 4 3/8".
The handle is a GORGEOUS piece of Dyed spalted Maple , a stunning reddish color accented by the darker browns and blacks of the burl. Beautiful! You gotta love wood like this! The handle is complemented by Dennis' handmade 1/4" mosaic pins, as well as the 1/4" stainless steel lanyard hole in the butt of the handle. The tang is full and untapered for a tough spine all the way through the knife. This is such a awesome design, very sweet! There is also thumb and finger rests filed under the guard and on the spine for added gripping, as well as Dennis' decorative filework along the spine of the blade. This is a top quality blade, wonderful craftsmanship!
The sheath is a handmade leather sheath, made to be worn upright on the belt . The sheath has been sealed and dyed, to protect the life and beauty of the leather. A very nice package, Retail for this sweet blade is $468.00.
