iSOLDit on eBay of Fishers, Indiana would like to cordially invite you to bid on a previously owned, Dept 56 Snow Village piece entitled "The Secret Garden Greenhouse". It comes with "First Deposit": a mother and child are heading to the bank with her son's piggy bank, a string of lights, and "Is that Frosty": children decorate a snowman.

This is quite the exotic Snow Village piece. Much more going on than meets the eye.

From the box: English horticulturalist John Evelyn is credited with coining the word greenhouse, but mum is the word at this flourishing business because even the poinsettias aren't talking. Whether you have a green thumb or you are all thumbs, the silk flowers require very little care - just a little moisture every time it snows".

This building comes with both an adaptor and a regular light cord. The regular light cord is placed in the hole in the 'shed' that is at the rear of the building (can't see that part in the image) and that lights up like a regular Dept 56 light setup. The 'shed' has a panel between it and the greenhouse so the lighting that happens with the regular light cord is sort of a soft glow effect rather than a bright light effect (of course, for those 'working' in the shed itself it would be a bright light...). Right below the hole in the shed where the regular light goes, is a small hole with wiring running out of it (already pre-wired) - the cord is long and ends with a plug that you plug into an adaptor that is included with the set, and you plug the adaptor then into your wall outlet.

When that is plugged in, the three greenhouse lights inside the greenhouse on the ceiling light up (can't really tell if they are intended to be actual lights for the greenhouse or grow lights for the plants but either way it's a pretty neat effect). Inside the greenhouse are tables full of plants and a corner that has a work table with gardening tools on it and what looks like a plant in the process of being put into a planter. Around the outside of the building are usual things for sale - bird baths, trees (two decorated, flocked sisels at the front entrance, and a grouping of four smaller flocked sisels behind the bird baths on the side of the buidling (not decorated).

NOTE: There is a chip in the base that has been repaired (but not perfectly).
