One of many items from the estate of a retired radio, TV, telephone, and electronics repair-salesman. His name was Hugo Oliver and his amateur radio call sign was W2HQF. There are many vacuum tubes, others parts, consumer electronics, tools and test equipment to be had; I will be listing these in the months to come.
This is for ONE unused, vintage 1N38 Germanium diode. It has a round ceramic case, metal end caps, and the same diameter as a standard fuse only shorter and with wires. Marked "+JHS-1N38" and "-SYLVANIA. Using the diode check on my digital multi-meter it tested to be neither shorted or open and having a forward voltage between 0.698 and 1.066 V, which is out of tolerance. Being sold for display in a collection or Germanium crystal experimentation.
