With Fishman Resonator Pickup
The Hound Deluxe Dog Square Neck Dobro guitar features a flamed maple body with black binding and screened sound holes. The 10-1/2" fan-covered plate resonator is designed to heighten the natural tonal balance and projection. The square neck resonator guitar is primarily used in bluegrass and country music, and is played as a lap style Dobro with a solid steel slide.
This dobro has never been played! It is lightly stamped "used" on the back of the headstock. This designates the instrument as either an overstock that the factory had to move at below-wholesale prices or a minor blemish. Either way, it is a completely playable instrument, with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This particular dobro has a light dent near the endpin/output jack and some scratches on the resonator. There are some extremely faint marks on the side of the instrument where the satin finish has a more glossy appearance, caused by the edge of the instrument rubbing against the box during shipping. I have included close-up photos of each blemish below. Otherwise, this dobro is in perfect condition. The factory-installed Fishman resonator pickup ensures excellent tone when you need to amplify the instrument!
