"We will be here when you need us". Many will claim this, few can prove it. The Appel family tradition was started in 1925, as Appel Garage by Robert Appel Sr. Calvin Coolidge was our President. The average annual income was $1,236.00. Appel Garage survived the Great Depression, world wars, and the ups and downs of our changing economic times. Appel was in business serving the central Texas area before Charles Lindburg flew across the Atlantic, before Hollywood's first talking picture, and prior to the invention of television, transistors, FM radio, aluminum cans, jet engines and computers. After Robert Appel Sr. retired he turned the business over to his two sons, Jack and Robert Appel Jr. Appel Dodge Chrysler Jeep is presently owned and operated by the third Appel generation. Gregg and Jeff Appel are carrying on the family values and traditions started over 81 years ago.
