About The Image: 

This beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog  Puppy portrait, is a laser print of the original artwork.  It is printed on high quality, 72lb,acid free, paper and can be matted and framed to keep forever as a collectible piece of art.   I am proud to say I am a member of an ebay animal lover group of artists,  known as DogArtShow  aka K9art. We have monthly art challenges  and unfortunately this little Bernese portrait did not get finished in time to enter  the Bernese Mountain Dog challenge, but I am listing it now for you to bid on. The Bernese is the only one of the four breeds of Swiss Mountain Dogs with a long coat. His ancestry traces to mastiff-type dogs of Roman times that were left to guard alpine outposts, as the emperor's legions advanced toward Gaul.  There they crossbred with local herder's to produce offspring smaller in stature but just as trustworthy in their willingness to serve man. They were used to herd livestock and as cart dogs to transport goods and produce to market. This breed was introduced to this continent in the 1930's and has been included in the Working Group of recognized breeds.

     All prints come with an added value card which has  a brief bio of the artist and description of her work.  This beautiful print created by P K Ufnal, reflects her passion for animals, particularly dogs . Each print  is personally signed by the artist, P K Ufnal.

My Bio:  

I was born in Yorkshire, England and immigrated to Canada at the age of two.  I lived in Quebec, Canada for fifteen years and it was here that I discovered a love of drawing.  I presently live in Mission, British Columbia with my family and a variety of animals.

As an artist, I am self taught and having been a single Mom for many years, I used what was available to me to create a different style of art. Four mediums are used in the artwork: Ink, Pencil, Coloured Pencils, and Pastel. They are blended together to form a unique combination of colours and textures.  One aspect of my drawings is my attention to detail, from the many colours of a blade of grass, to the emotion in the eyes of my subjects, be they real or fantasy. I take great pride in my artwork and I am pleased to offer you a sample of it in this print.
