A. While there is no guarantee, customers have used a whistle for this very purpose, and it has worked for most cases.

A. No. However if a dog is trained to stop and lie down at the sound of a whistle ( and you can train a dog to do that), then you are in luck.

A. No dog is useless or dumb, in spite of the fact that I have a website named thedumbdog. Do you know what brings a cat into the kitchen quicker than anything? The sound of an electric can opener! You can do the same with your dog. At meal time, blow on the whistle before they get the food. It will only take a few times of doing this and your dog will come a 'runnin. Dumb Dog indeed!
