| Check out my other items! Here up for auction is an original serigraph entitled "Searching For Shells" By Don Hatfield. This particular serigraph is signed in pencil and numbered 258 of 300, it was released in February 1988, the total signed editions numbered 559 of which numbered editions were 300, European edition 150, Hors Commerce 20, Artists Proofs 69, Printers Proofs 20. The Image size is 24 1/2" by 23", paper used was Westwind, Impressions numbered 106. This information was obtained from the Certificate of Authenticity from Colville Publishing which is also signed by Don Hatfield as well as the printer. This has been professionally framed by Concept Framing Gallery, LTD out of Laguna Niguel, Calif. and is in mint condition. The frame itself has suffered from moves and storage and has a few minor nicks and scratches, the serigraph itself is unblemeshed. Frame size is 35 1/4" square with a fabric covered matte that extends 4" on all sides. The weight of the framed picture is approximately 10lbs. I am not sure of the actual price for shipping and handling, as such I am not offering any shipping services on this listing. As this item is rather valuable, and rare I prefer to handle the shipping arrangements personally with the winning bidder at auctions end. So please do not ask for the cost of shipping as it will be handled with the buyer according to the buyers preferences. I am willing to work with the buyer on this purchase in anyway possible to insure the safe delivery of this artwork. Don Hatfield is one of the most innovative impressionists of our time. His style of painting softly blends figures of realism with the gentle touch of classic Impressionism. Don strives to create paintings that bond themselves to the viewer. In the vein of romantic impressionism, he shows the viewer that beauty can arise from one stirring moment; a family reunion, a young boy searching for shells on the beach, or the warmth of the sun touching a mother and her child. On Feb-23-06 at 07:28:29 PST, seller added the following information:I was only able to find one website that had this particular Hatfield in a serigraph available, theirs was unframed with no certificate of authenticity, and no actual picture of the artists signature or edition number. Their retail price was $2,000.00, my reserve price on this item is much lower, and I believe quite reasonable. I would be willing to remove the print and certificate from the frame in order to save the buyer shipping costs On Oct-31-06 at 10:57:26 PST, seller added the following information:
