Drill by Codman & Shurtleff

This is a unique drill shaped like a syringe. It is stamped Codman & Shurtleff. We do NOT know how it operates as end does not revolve, but there is a center lever that locks and opens the finger piece. It most likely was used in dentistry or by bone doctors. It dates from late 1800s to early 1900s. Collectors of antique medical items will find this a unique highlight to their collection.
