Dual HiFi Turntable CS 503-1 Belt Drive w/original box

You are bidding on a vintage DUAL CS 503-1 Semi Automatic Belt Drive Turntable with operating instructions and in original box. This is in working condition and operates quietly and smoothly.

Made in Germany in 1980s. Full size component. Equipped with Audio Technica 6006 cartridge. Deck itself is in very good cosmetic condition. Lid is in original condition with some light scratches.

Semi-Automatic operation: Starts by moving arm to platter which switches motor on; arm lifts and motor stops at the end of a side. 33 and 45 rpm switch shifting between speeds. Aluminium platter with heavy rubber mat on metal chassis mounted on robust moulded plinth gives good isolation.

Ouput leads to twin RCA/phono plugs and ground/earth wire. Motor runs silently. Main bearing is nice and tight. Arm bearings, cuing dampers all work perfectly. Belt is in good condition. Adjustable tracking weight and anti skating. Simple set up with no gauges needed - balance the tonearm with the counterweight; turn the tracking weight adjusting nut on the tone arm to the required tracking weight; and set the anti-skating bias ring around the base of the tonearm to the same mass.

We have not tested the sound operation but owner assures us it sounds great. A good mid range quality turntable which enables you to get back to your vinyl collection or access the huge amount of dirt cheap vinyl that is now available everywhere. We are selling this unit in "AS IS" condition.
