Dubey & Schaldenbrand was founded in 1946 by Georges Dubey and Rene Schaldenbrand. Since 1995 it has been under the creative direction and inspiration of Ms. Cinette Robert, the great granddaughter of the Meylan-LeCoultre family.--Dubey & Schaldenbrand offers a line of fine Swiss watches noted for extraordinary style and design, as well as precision Swiss engineering and attention to detail, these watches are some of the most gorgeous and exciting watches available anywhere.
The company has their workshops in Les Brenets. Its focus is specializing in dress watches with a “retro” feel. Some of their great complications produced were calendars, large dates, chronographs, power reserves and time zones.
The featured watch is a Limited Edition Dubey & Schaldenbrand Gran Chrono Astro in 18K Rose Gold measuring 50x38mm. It has an Amazing Silver Guilloche Dial with Luminous Hour and Minute Hands at Center, a Center Sweep Seconds Hands, a Center Date Indicator corresponding to the Dates displayed around the periphery of the Dial, and three Separate Concentric Chronograph Subdials which count the Hours (12-Hour Register at 6 o'clock), Minutes (30-Minute Regsiter at 12 o'clock) and Seconds (60-Second Register at Center). The Exhibition Caseback reveals stunning hand-engraving work on the Automatic Movement that powers the watch. Sapphire Crystals protect both the top and caseback. The watch comes on a Black Alligator Dubey & Schaldenbrand Strap with a Tang Buckle. Water Resistant to 30 meters. Automatic Self-Winding Movement, 25 Jewels.
Personal note: These watches are very well made. The fit, finish, design and quality are superb, and the watch is gorgeous!! I love amazing layout of the dial, the shape of the case, and the Rose Gold as well. The guillloche work on the dial and the hand-engraving on the movement are also second to none. This watch stands out in the crowd!!
