Dudley Masonic 14kt Gold Pocket Watch
I have for auction a Dudley, Series 2, 14kt Gold Masonic Pocket Watch. Dudley started his own watch company on or about 1922 in Lancaster County Pennsylvania and produced only about 5900 pocket watches. His Masonic Watch underwent three changes in design on the movement and each was given a series number. This is the a series 2, of which only about 2800 were made. You can tell it's a series 2 by the applied silver Holy Bible on the winding arbor plate. It is getting harder and harder to find great, vintage pocket watches and this one was a lucky find, is extremely rare! The crystals are in excellent condition. Underneath is the original dial does have some spots on it. The silver dial has gold enamel art deco Arabic Numerals and has DUDLEY and 19 jewels wring on it. The case is 44mm in diameter. The case appears to be solid 14kt gold, but is not signed anywhere as is normal for this type of watch. The entire case has gorgeous hand-engraving. I will not even try to describe the awesome movement of the Masonic working tools! The movement is signed "Dudley Watch Co. Lancaster, PA.19 Jewels Pat." This is a rare watch which runs, winds and sets perfectly! It comes with a gold plated simmons watch chain. I took many pictures with supersize features so you can rate this watch yourself. I am pretty sure it is a series 2 watch from what I reaserched. I will guarntee it to be 100% original DUDLEY or you get a full refund! This watch is in excellent condition for its age.
