VINTAGE DUNHILL LIGHTER

GOLD PLATED OUTER JACKET

I am so pleased to be offering this beautiful example of a vintage yellow gold  plated Dunhill Rollagas Cigarette lighter. The lighter strikes but only emits a very small flame. The inside of the lighter, where the flame comes out of the top, could use a little cleaning with a cloth.  The lighter has a handsome textured finish that almost looks pebbled and may be referred to as stippled.   The lighter is very easy to roll, emits a small flame which tends to flicker and uses butane.

The outside jacket is in excellent condition.  I noticed two very small circular  spots near the flint on the outside jacket that look discolored to me.  They are about the size of a pin head. I do not see any other dings or dents.  The roller shows normal wear due to the vintage age of the piece. 

In 1927 Alfred Dunhill developed his own style of lighter that allowed the owner to use one hand.  His lighters are considered unique and are sought by serious collectors. They have truly stood the test of time.  This is a wonderful opportunity to add to your personal collection or to give this gorgeous lighter as a gift to someone special.   The measurements are: 2 1/2" long x 1" wide. 

The base of the lighter reads: dunhill 110085 Swiss Made LV and AD within a beehive type mark. 

Shipping on this item will be $9.00 which will include insurance.  The lighter will be carefully packaged.  Sorry, no international bidders this auction. 

In order to comply with the USPS regulations, I will have to remove the fluid from the lighter before I ship.
