Being offered is this antique E&J Detroit, Mich, Pat. Dec 9., 1908, auto, horse drawn coach, lantern lamp. Made of brass with soldered joints. Has square bevel glass clear windows with a "spot type" red glass marker. This is the left side lantern. This lantern, along with the right we have listed, came off of an antique coach that was in front of a Maine house for yard art or decoration. We do not know the make of the coach. Overall condition is average for it’s age, with some "trekking" that should straighten out okay. Has the oil reserve, but looks to have the start of a conversion to elec.?, with hole in the bottom (please see pic) back mounting plate panel is split at soldered left joint, and rivets(?) have pulled through in a couple of places. We are also listing the round mounting plate that was with this lantern, as we do not know if it is original or not?
