Ebay's new "search experience" called Best Match now decides for buyers what you will and won't see when you're perusing Native American jewelry. Ebay has decided that you would rather see cheap, mass produced jewelry (much of it foreign made and misrepresented as Native American) rather than high quality and/or unique items and intentionally disadvantages the very best items (if you use the Best Match search) by generally hiding the best items in the bottom half of the search pages so that you'll probably never see them. If you want to see the best quality Native American jewelry or any other category of item the way you used to, then you must customize you search setting to "Ending Soonest" which used to be the default search setting before ebay introduced "Best Match." "Best Match" definitely isn't best if you're a collector or a discerning buyer who prefers quality over junk. Simply breathtaking! The photos of this marvelous green shell (no, I don't why a yellow shell is called green shell :-)and Candian gaspeite inlay bracelet don't do it justice! And it's authentic Navajo work -- not the dirt cheap imported inlay pieces with their country of origin tags illegally removed being misrepresented as Native American that get marked up at least 500% on ebay. Those who buy knockoffs end up with jewelry whose value is at best slightly more than its silver weight because experts can tell the difference. Native American made jewelry is appraised as art.
Just remember -- there are no Native American silver tribes making inlay jewelry in the Philippines, and there are no individual Native American artists making "old pawn" or "estate jewelry" in China or Mexico.

Unfortunately about a year and a halfago, the brothers stopped making jewelry and got full time construction jobs in Gallup, New Mexico on one the numerous ongoing infrastructure improvement projects because they couldn't support their families making jewelry because of imports. Keevin's taking afew months off from jewelry making and is currently working in Gallup gas station while Emery is back producing again full time now that higher silver prices are making jewel a little profitable to make.

Support our Native American artists by refusing to buy imports! Even with a markup a 500%, if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is an import. Two-thirds of all jewelry sold as Native American is actually foreign.
