EAR CUFF EARRING BAJORAN STYLE, FIGARO CHAIN TO CUFF GP

I used to sell these earrings at regional craft fairs; they were hugely popular.  They grew even more popular when Star Trek put a similar style on their Bajoran people in Deep Space 9, so I began to sell them at Star Trek conventions across the U.S. weekly for a few years.  That is how a no-name style became known as Bajoran.

HOW TO WEAR ONE?  Ear cuffs merely slip on to the thin part of the ear cartilage, then slide down the ear.  Never bend the metal.

CHANGES?  Since I design these earrings, I can change the post design, add dangles, etc.    Replace the cuff with a post.  Change to a clip earring.  OR, WANT A MATCHING EARRING?  Can do.  I will make a custom listing just for you. But, those would be in the $8 - $43 range, depending on the metal used and the changes.

E-check – when you pay by an e-check via Paypal, the funds do not come to my Paypal account for 3-5 days U.S. and up to 9 days (Canada).

NON-PAYMENT – new note as of 5/08.  There has been an increase in buying, but not paying.  If you’re going on vacation before the auction ends, for example, just let me know.  But if I don’t hear within 10 days of close of auction, I will file a non-payment with Ebay.

DOMESTIC POSTAGE NOTICE  ALMOST DOUBLE INCREASE by Post Office

First Class now (as of May 2007) has 3 different rates dependant on size & bulkiness of envelope.  This package must be mailed First Class parcel with delivery confirmation and is considered bulky by the new rules.  It is now a few cents short of doubling the old rate.  It is now less expensive to mail to Europe than to mail to the U.S. A bulky envelope that weighs less than 1 ounce with delivery confirmation (mandatory on Paypal shipping labels) (under new 2007 Post Office increases) is more than 300% over what you pay to mail an ordinary letter.

EVEN though my postal fees have almost doubled, I have lowered the shipping handling charges as of 12/07.

INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE NOTICE – ABOUT 32% INCREASE by Post Office

International First Class (as of May 2008) now has the same different rates dependant on size & bulkiness of envelope.  So now, I will use the same rates for US and International.  I’m only raising the rates 25 cents though.

WHY ARE MY SHIPPING & HANDLING RATES MORE THAN THE POSTAL CHARGE? Just a note that shipping and handling rates for your items are not just the postal fees.  They include delivery confirmation fee, handling, processing, materials (envelope, ink, labels, scotch tape, paper, bubble wrap), packaging and delivery (gas) to the Post Office.  PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES.

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY ITEM?:

I usually ship within 3 business days Monday to Friday.  I do try, however, to have it in the mail the next day.  There have been occasional times (emergency surgery one time) or serious viral bronchitis that kept me in bed for 1 week without even being able to get to email.

DOMESTIC TRACKING BY POST OFFICE: 

USPS does not track, sort of.  At first, there is a popup box that says the USPS has been notified by me to expect a package.  This wording stays until the package has been delivered.  So, it appears that I have not mailed the package when in fact it may be 10 minutes from your door.  NOTE: As of November 07, I see on certain shipments an additional popup box that says the item has been processed locally.  However, not all items get this popup box and I have seen a 2 day delay at the local facility, i.e., I drop off Monday night, and Wednesday afternoon, a popup box shows up that it has just been processed.

SHIPPING DELIVERY types: 

U.S.   First class parcel with delivery confirmation. 

International  International first class.

SHIPPING/HANDLING RATES & MULTIPLE DISCOUNTS – COMBINE PURCHASES WITHIN 7 DAYS:

U.S. - $2.75 for first item

INTERNATIONAL: $2.75 for first item.

MULTIPLE SHIPPING HANDLING DISCOUNT FOR US & International.  $1.00 for each additional item shipping handling rate.  Let me know when you are ready for an invoice and I will take the shipping discount and send to you.

SHIPPING DELIVERY TIMES:

U.S. Post office says 2 – 5 business days.  But, that is under normal circumstances.  Holiday delivery can add days as can winter ice and snow storms as well as floods, hurricanes.  I have had 9, 11 and 13 business day deliveries within the U.S.  Even Ebay Feedback Forum says delivery can take up to 2 weeks.

International:  Post Office says 5 – 9 business days to Europe for example and that is normally so.  I have had a 2 month delivery to Finland, a current 2 month delivery to Spain which is still not there.

INSURANCE recommended as once package leaves my hands, I have no control over it.
