EAR CUFF EARRING, BAJORAN STYLE, TOPAZ COLOR W CRYSTALS

This Bajoran Style earring has delicate chains that sway gently with movement.  The cuff fits easily and comfortably on the ear.

Topaz colored beads are Czech glass and the clear beads are Austrian Swarovski crystal.

WHAT IS A BAJORAN EAR CUFF?  I used to sell these earrings at regional craft fairs; they were hugely popular.  They grew even more popular when Star Trek put a similar style on their Bajoran people in Deep Space 9, so I began to sell them at Star Trek conventions across the U.S. weekly for a few years.  That is how a no-name style became known as Bajoran.

HOW TO WEAR ONE?  Ear cuffs merely slip on to the thin part of the ear cartilage, then slide down the ear.  Never bend the metal.

CHANGES?  Since I design these earrings, I can change the color beads, use different gemstones or crystals.  Replace the cuff with a post.  Change to a clip earring.  OR, WANT A MATCHING EARRING?  Can do.  I will make a custom listing just for you.

DOMESTIC POSTAGE NOTICE  ALMOST DOUBLE INCREASE

First Class now (as of May 2007) has 3 different rates dependant on size & bulkiness of envelope.  This package must be mailed First Class parcel with delivery confirmation and is considered bulky by the new rules.  It is now a few cents short of doubling the old rate.  It is now less expensive to mail to Europe than to mail to the U.S. A bulky envelope that weighs less than 1 ounce with delivery confirmation (mandatory on Paypal shipping labels) (under new 2007 Post Office increases) is more than 300% over what you pay to mail an ordinary letter.  

EVEN though my postal fees have almost doubled, I have lowered the shipping handling charges as of 12/07. 

WHY ARE MY SHIPPING & HANDLING RATES MORE THAN THE POSTAL CHARGE? Just a note that shipping and handling rates for your items are not just the postal fees.  They include delivery confirmation fee, handling, processing, materials (envelope, ink, labels, scotch tape, paper, bubble wrap), packaging and delivery (gas) to the Post Office.  PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES. 

WHY IS IT LESS TO MAIL INTERNATIONALLY THAN TO MAIL TO THE U.S.?

Heck, I do not know.  Ask the Post Office.  When US rates for my packages almost doubled, international did not go up as much. 

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY ITEM?:

I usually ship within 3 business days Monday to Friday.  I do try, however, to have it in the mail the next day.  There have been occasional times (emergency surgery one time or serious viral bronchitis another time) that kept me in bed for 1 week without even being able to get to email. 

DOMESTIC TRACKING BY POST OFFICE: 

USPS does not track, sort of.  At first, there is a popup box that says the USPS has been notified by me to expect a package.  This wording stays until the package has been delivered.  So, it appears that I have not mailed the package when in fact it may be 10 minutes from your door.  NOTE: As of November 07, I see on certain shipments an additional popup box that says the item has been processed locally.  However, not all items get this popup box and I have seen a 2 day delay at the local facility, i.e., I drop off Monday night, and Wednesday afternoon, a popup box shows up that it has just been processed.  

SHIPPING DELIVERY types: 

U.S.   First class parcel with delivery confirmation.  Optional insurance is $1.65 for orders up to $50.00. 

International  International first class.  No insurance is available for this service.  Insurance is only available with Priority Mail, which is a much higher cost.   

SHIPPING/HANDLING RATES & MULTIPLE DISCOUNTS – COMBINE PURCHASES WITHIN 7 DAYS:

U.S. - $3.25 for first item

INTERNATIONAL: $3.15 for first item.

MULTIPLE SHIPPING HANDLING DISCOUNT FOR US & International.  $1.75 off each additional shipping handling rate.  After you have finished shopping and winning your multiple items, click on the button that asks for an invoice and I’ll send the correct invoice with discounts.IMPORTANT:  Make sure you do this rather than pay separately because I have additional charges if you pay separately and cannot do the full multiple discount after the fact. SHIPPING DELIVERY TIMES:

U.S. Post office says 2 – 5 business days.  But, that is under normal circumstances.  Holiday delivery can add days as can winter ice and snow storms as well as floods, hurricanes.  I have had 9, 11 and 13 business day deliveries within the U.S.  Even Ebay Feedback Forum says delivery can take up to 2 weeks.

International:  Post Office says 5 – 9 business days to Europe for example and that is normally so.  I have had a 2 month delivery to Finland, a 2 1/2 month delivery to Spain, and 2 items to the UK that have not been received as yet.  But I have mailed hundreds of international items.  

INSURANCE recommended as once package leaves my hands, I have no control over it.  Insurance for international, unfortunately, requires a hugely more expensive  shipping  cost through the Post Office.

-          Courtesy is appreciated.  I have had customers email me, for instance, Wednesday morning, after paying Sunday night, demanding to know where their earring is.  Unless Scotty beams it over, that is  just not possible.

The Andale checkout system will take off $2.00 per item on the shipping handling charge when all earrings are paid for at the same time. MY HANDLING TIME 3 business days. But I do try to have domestic out within a day and international within 2 days. For international, I can't just drop in the mailbox. I actually have to stand in line at the Post Office and fill out a form. RETURNS, REFUNDS Returns by mutual agreement within 7 days.
