EARLY FIRE ALARM GONG. Offering today, fresh from an attic(no extra charge for spider webs, grunge etc) is this early wood cased fire alarm bell. Marked on the brass mechanism MADE BY MOSES CRANE BOSTON with an 8" brass bell. Can not determine if this is functional but spring is wound and it appears to be complete. Lock mechanism is intact. Top section of case missing but have included a reproduction ‘leaf section’. Case will clean up nicely, rosettes are fine, door opens and closes, glass has no cracks or chips. Overall condition is very good expected wear and tare for an object well over 100 years. For more fire items visit us at www.maritiques.com.
