SYSTEM APPLIED TO MY LISTINGS
MINT (M): No visible scratches or marks of any description either on the vinyl
or label (usually reserved for brand new items).
NEAR MINT (NM): Vinyl may have one or two very minor flaws such as light
paper scuffs from sliding in and out of the sleeves that do not affect play.
EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+ (EX
or VG+): Vinyl has been handled and played either very little or very
carefully. The vinyl may have lost some but not all of its original luster or
have a slight scratch or blemishes that do not affect play.
VERY GOOD (VG): Vinyl that displays visible signs of handling and
playing such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches or groove wear. A
VG record may look like it will have some audible surface noise when it is
played, although any noise should not overwhelm the actual music.
GOOD (G): Vinyl
has been well played and perhaps show one or a number of defects such as
complete loss of surface sheen, scratches or have obvious surface noise (just
reminds you that it is vinyl you are listening to…).
*I will always indicate in the listing if there are any
stickers or writing on either the label or the sleeve or any pressing plant
imperfections.
