Grading: C-10 Mint - Brand New
This is a 2 hour video clinic on weathering. Designed for the new modeler as well as the experienced builder, the video is called "Easy Weathering".

The name tells it all. Each demonstration shows all the materials and techniques used. The video covers Rusty Metal, Rotten Wood, Peeling Paint and more. Each demonstration covers each and every step. Each step is clearly shown and carefully explained. Anyone can do this. All these techniques are very easy to use.

The video is available on DVD. The price is $20. Shipping is $5 to anywhere in the US or Canada.  $8 to the rest of the world.

There is no Driftwood used on the video. I don't use an airbrush either. Everything is easily available and most people already have the materials around the house. The few items you don't have are cheap and readily available.

The first project is turning a new 1/43rd AMT 1936 Ford kit and into a rusted out hulk. Corregated siding is next. For O scale modelers, I show how to make your own siding quickly and cheaply. Some siding is simply painted, and other pieces are soaked in acid for a completely rusted look.

Distressing, painting, and staining wood, both individual pieces and scribed siding, is shown up close. Peeling paint techniques are covered next, both on stripwood, scribed siding, and plastic structures.

Finished examples of all techniques are shown. Some of the techniques are those commonly used by experienced model builders, but a couple of the techniques shown are ones I developed and I have never shared these before. Nor have I ever seen anyone use them. All are unbelieveably simple and effective. The type of weathering technique that makes you want to slap your forehead and say, "I should have thought of that."

There is something here for everyone. Satisfaction is guaranteed, of course, or all your money will be cheerfully refunded without question.

Again, the price is $20 for the DVD. 2 hours in length.

Reviews:

---------I have this DVD, and it is an exceptionally
easy DVD to follow and learn from.  I built my first structure using
Darryl's DVD as a guide, and it came out looking great.  I'm a beginner,
and this DVD was the best one I could have gotten.  I highly recommend it.

Its 23.00 Uk time, I've just spent 2 hours absolutely transfixed watching your easy weathering dvd, with only a glass of fine french wine as company, absolutely brilliant. My wife, who is a young Russian lady is packing as she is flying back to her native Siberia for Easter, came in to see why I was un-naturally quiet on a Saturday evening !! But I have to say as an old (50's sage of fine scale railroad modelling, I was rivited, and enjoyed every minute of the dvd. I thought I knew after 40 odd years of the hobby, most tricks of the trade, especially after messrs Allen, Frary, Hayden , Olson, Furlow, of course Sellious and all, and amongest my much more talented finescale frineds here in the UK, but you sure added some great techniques which I can't wait to try. ---Malcolm

Got the DVD a couple of days ago, and watched it this morning. Good job. There are a lot of great techniques in there. I would recommend this for both the newcomer and the experienced modeler.---Doug

To all who want to know how to make weathered models. I have been at it for years but I just had the chance to sit down and watch Darryl Huffman's new DVD on weathering. I have no connection with Darryl but I do heartily recommend this CD. Even old "pros" will find something new in it. ---Bob

------------------------------
My DVD arrived and I and my wife spent the whole afternoon watching it. The comments were along the lines of 'Gosh - so that's how it's done' 'Why didn't I think of that.'. I must say we learnt a great deal from the first viewing and I am sure we will pick up even more tips when we watch it again. A big thank you to Darryl for putting it together and also thanks for a speedy delivery of the DVD. ---Frank

Just want to put in a word for Darryl's DVD Easy Weathering. It was nice to see how easy it can be to weather things and how nice the finished products can be. (hmmm...makes one wonder how his home and car looks like <VBG>) I'm a bit of a newbie on this even if I'm been in to modeling since 1993..OK I've been doing a lot of armchair modeling (anyone for an armchair....) but this video/DVD shows a lot of nice and easy ways to go about things. If You haven't seen it already or haven't got it yet, I can recommend it. ---Hans

Hi Darryl, I just wanted to let you know I received the DVD on weathering yesterday. I enjoyed seeing all the info you had to offer and can't wait to try some to the techniques ,especially the rusting of cars. ----Jerry

------------------------------------

I received my copy of your weathering DVD today. I just hope that I can make stuff look half as good as yours ---David

--------------------------------------------

DVD arrived. Great! Congratulations. Very interesting to see how others do it. You are also a very good speaker. ---Otto

-------------------------------------

Just wanted to let you know that I received your DVD and it's great! I will be trying the techniques you demonstrate, and wanted to say thanks. It's one thing to read about weathering, and another to see it being done. BTW, you have a very good voice for an instructional DVD.

-----------------------------------------

Whilst some of it may be old-hat to some of the specialists on the group, I have found it most instructive. I consider it one of the best $20 that I have ever spent. This is particularly because it can be applied so readily over all scales and gauges (well maybe not Z). No links to Darryl except as a very satisfied customer. ---Ron

I thoroughly enjoyed your weathering DVD. I was wondering if I can have your permission to show the DVD at the Redwood Empire Division (PCR-NMRA) meet in early February? Our contest is weathering and we think this DVD would be very welcomed by our membership. ----Gus (my answer was "Sure!")

I just had to write and say how pleased I was with the DVD. I think it is a great way to share your knowledge with others. If you ever do any more especially in regard to adding detail to models, or the building of structures as you displayed in the DVD please let me know.
Once again thank you for sharing your knowledge on the subject. Regards---Tony

..............................................................................

This morning, I received my copy of Darryl's latest DVD. Once again, the thing I enjoyed ,was his narration.... nice, easy listening. Must be "Alaskan" lingo.......Without doing a review of the DVD, can I say, I learned a few more tips. Yep...this dog is never too old to learn new tricks....Well done Darryl...... I know it is not a money making venture, but sharing your knowledge with others around the world.---Mario

Darryl...just finished watching your weathering video on my 80 inch proscan TV ... I really enjoyed all the techniques, especially chapter 3 & 4.............great work......thank you !!!..
