JUST FOR FUN AND IF YOU ARE INTERESTED............ Edward Thomas Rabbitt was born November 27, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in East Orange, New Jersey.
He was a country singer/songwriter/guitarist. He enjoyed much pop success in his career, helping develop the crossover-influenced sound in country music during the 1970s and 80s.
Rabbitt charted 43 hits 1974-1991.
First recorded for 20th Century in 1964. Moved to Nashville in 1968.
Became established after Elvis Presley recorded his song Kentucky Rain in 1970.
On May 7, 1998, Rabbitt died of lung cancer at the age of 56, and is interred in the Calvary Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.
This song debuted on the American Top Pop charts on 7/25/1981. It remained on the charts for 22 weeks and reached a Top Pop peak position of number 5!
