Chromatic harmonicas are designed to play every complete scale in any key – major, minor, pentatonic, blues, etc. – all on one harmonica. They provide the complete 12-note octave with all sharps & flats. Each hole contains four reeds: two natural notes & two chromatic notes. The reeds for chromatic notes are enabled by pushing a slide button on the side of the harmonica, which closes off air flow from one set of reeds & enables the other set to vibrate freely. Chromatics are most often heard within the classical and jazz styles.

The Educator 10 model sports a comb design that provides a clear and powerful sound without the need for valves. Good news for players who struggle with sticking or noisy windsavers! Its affordable price also makes it a good starter chromatic, both for novices and players making a transition from smaller diatonic models. Packaged in a zippered black pouch.
