EDWARD L. LOPER FROM THE PRISM'S EDGE EXHIBITION BOOK

Edward L. Loper From the Prism's Edge.  This is the catalog from the exhibit that was a retrospective shown at the Delaware Art Museum in 1996.  He had exhibited his first painting there in 1937.  He was the first African American to, not only enter a Delaware Art Show, but was the first to have his work accepted for show, and to attend the opening.  Many of his great artworks were done in WIlmington, DE area.  His wonderful gift for the abstract and balance of coloring give his paintings a unique look all his own. Mr Loper has recently closed his studio in WIlmington, Delaware and retired from teaching students.   On the cover is his work, "Painter's Shed".  This booklet features a number of his works.  Some are shown in black and white and some in color.  It has 36 pages.  The condition is excellent.  It is right from the stock box from the publisher.  It was published by the museum.  The condition is excellent but there is a price sticker on the back cover.  This is one of several backstock items I have up for bid.
