Happy Rover’s believes that a pet cot should last as long as the dog. So we have prepared a little guide of considerations to ensure that your purchase is of superior quality and will hold up for years.

Pet Cot 101

* Look for high end furniture grade pipe. This pipe has the precise tolerance to withstand the outdoor elements and the weight of adult humans. It is glossy, will not corrode, yellow or fade. It has no printed numbers, is not made with fillers, yet is pretty enough to put inside the home too.  We offer white and light beige pipe.  Please specify your preference.  Chewguard beds typically come in white.

* Look for genuine machine washable 1000 Denier CORDURA®. If it isn’t Dupont Invista CORDURA®, it’s not CORDURA®. We offer several colors: Charcoal, Forest Green, Taupe, Deep Wine, Royal Blue and Bronze Brown.  During checkout let us know your 1st and 2nd color choice.Colors on the screen may appear slightly different than actual. 

* Look for thread that is UV and mold resistant. Make sure it can handle moisture. The cot is only as tough as the thread that holds it together.

* Look for non-skid feet. Potentially, if your pet hops on a cot that moves from beneath them, he gets scared, he won’t trust, he won’t use, you’ve wasted your $$.

* Look for little details. All the seams on our cots are finished. No raw edges anywhere. Attention to even the smallest details means pride of craftsmanship. We don’t cut corners anywhere. The same applies to our packaging and product information.

* Do you have a dog that chews? No problem, we have chew guards, which follow the perimeter of the frame making the pet cot/bed chew resistant if not chewproof and nearly impossible for a pet to chew through. * Not sure what size?  Measure your pet from the base of the tail to the end of the nose and add 6-7 inches.

* Pet cots/bed elevate your pet off the hot, cold, uneven or damp ground.  They prevent damage to the elbows and hocks while giving orthopedic support to joints. Disassemble so you can take it with your pet. Make nice gifts or donations to animals shelters or pet foster homes.
