MEASURE 8 X 8 PERFECT SQUARE

THIS IS A COLLECTION OF 5 PHOTOS ORIGINALLY TAKEN IN SEPTEMBER OF 1968, PROBABLY OUTSIDE THE GATES OF GRACELAND.  THE DATE SEP 68 IS PRINTED ON THE OUTSIDE WHITE EDGE OF THESE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE ORIGINAL NEGATIVES AND REPINTED IN 2001 ON HI-QUALITY KODAK ROYAL PHOTO PAPER.

THESE ARE TRULY AWESOME TO HOLD AND FEEL AND LOOK AT!  THEY LOOK REMARKABLY LIKE THEY ARE 40 YEARS OLD, THEY HAVE A YELLOWISH TINT TO THEM BECAUSE THE NEGATIVE WAS ABOUT 30 YEARS OLDER THAN THE REPRINT DATE. 

I HAVE ARRANGED THE FIVE PHOTOS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT IN THIS LISTING TO SHOW THE SEQUENCE OF WHAT I HAVE INTERPRETTED AS A FAN OR PHOTOGRAPHER TAKING PICTURES FROM THE OUTSIDE OF ELVIS'S GATES. 

THE 1ST PHOTO SHOWS A MAN ON THE LEFT WALKING TOWARDS THE CADILLAC WITH ELVIS BEHIND THE CADILLAC WALKING TOWARD THE MAN.
THE 2ND PHOTO SHOWS ELVIS AND THAT MAN MEETING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CADILLAC SHAKING HANDS.
THE 3RD PHOTO SHOWS ELVIS GETTING INTO THE CADILLAC WITH THE GENTLEMAN BEHIND HIM ALSO GETTING INTO THE CAR.
THE 4TH PHOTO SHOWS ELVIS AS HE IS REACHING FOR SOMETHING NOW THAT HIS CAR IS THROUGH THE GATES.
THE 5TH PHOTO SHOWS ELVIS SIGNING AN AUTOGRAPH FOR A FAN, THE MAN IN THE BACKSEAT OF PHOTO 4 AND 5 IS THE SAME MAN SHAKING HANDS WITH ELVIS IN PHOTO 2.

THESE ARE VERY RARE AND CANDID PHOTOS OF A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ELVIS PRESLEY, IF ONLY A GLIMPSE, STILL VERY VERY COOL!  IT SHOWS THAT GENEROUS AND POLITE SIDE HE WAS SO WELL KNOWN FOR, SIGNING AN AUTOGRAPH FOR A SPECTATOR, YOU CAN SEE REFLECTIONS OF FANS ON THE SIDE OF HIS CAR IN THESE PHOTOS.

 Q: The reason they have 1968 stamped on the borders on the front is because when they were reprinted in 2001 on royal paper they were printed from the original negatives that had the 1968 date stamped on front of the negatives.
