Design Features of the

Friends, I teach meditation professionally and have been looking for a clock/timer like this for years! I  have used many of the meditation timers on the market - the Enso Clock is by far the best!

The pristine quality of the alarm sounds are exquisite! In addition, you have the option to turn the alarm volume all the way off and finish a session without any chime sounding. In this way, as a professional meditation teacher, I can use my own Tibetan bowl to end the meditation. And of course, you may turn the volume back up as well. 

With just a push of a button, the number display can be switched off so you view only the Enso Ring moving around the clock, marking the elapsed time on your session. This really frees up your mind. In addition, the numbers on the clock are large and easy to see!

The Enso Clock
The Enso Clock began with a ground-up conceptualization and design for a new timer and clock to be used for yoga, meditation, chi kung, and music practice sessions. The designers focused on creating an innovative method for conveying time to the user, resulting in the use of the Japanese Enso.

Enso
Enso, which means circle in Japanese, symbolizes enlightenment, elegance, and the universe. Traditionally, the enso is painted with a single clockwise brushstroke, beginning and ending at the bottom. The central display feature of Salubrion’s new clock is the Enso that surrounds the screen and is gradually brushed on-screen as the timer progresses. This way, the user can glance at the Enso and see the relative amount of time that has elapsed, eliminating the distraction of focusing on the exact numerical time that remains.

Interval Timing
The Enso Clock allows for Interval Timing in which the user can set sequential timers that run one-after-the-other to compose an overall session. At the end of each interval or timer, one of several available soothing alarm sounds is played. The Enso Clock’s alarm sounds are recorded from a Tibetan singing bowl, Japanese chime, and a Zen woodblock as used in traditional meditation sessions. Using the latest audio technology, the Enso Clock’s reproduction of the bowl, chime and woodblock is very high quality.

Alarm
In addition to countdown timing, the Enso Clock can be used as an alarm clock, featuring the same soothing chimes or you have the choice of a regular alarm sound.

The beautiful satin champagne finish along the sides of the clock (plastic) is complemented by a black rubber coating on the backside of the clock. The clock can be placed flat on the floor in front of you for use during seated meditation, or propped up using the elegant hinged stand that folds out of the back of the clock. Each Enso Clock also includes a convenient carrying case with an integrated cleaning cloth that both protects and polishes.
