DESCRIPTION: My travels to the remote African island nation of Madagascar have resulted in me being able to offer you this 10-lot of premium-quality hand-polished amber specimens from the Antsiranana region. They date to the Pliocene and are approximately 2 million years old. Technically these are copal which is an unfamiliar term to most people, and so I use the more familiar term amber.

To photograph each one and get the positioning, lighting, and focus just right (while avoiding reflections) requires 1+ hour per specimen. I just don't have time to do that, so I am instead offering them in wholesale lots without photos. This saves me time and so it saves you money. All 10 specimens will contain insects, and will be interesting and desirable. All are hand polished from start to finish. The pieces in your lot will range in size between 3 grams and 20 grams (but most will be 6 ~ 10 grams each) although I did not acquire them by weight and I suggest that you not focus on the weights either. Indeed, the craftsmen were instructed to remove defects as well as parts without insects. This approach is different than most other preparers who try to keep as much weight as possible so that they can tempt you with a large but uninteresting specimen.
