ITEM OFFERED FOR BIDS IS:  ONE (1) ERIE RAILROAD - 5" OVAL BOWL

  • Item:  Erie Railroad - 5" oval bowl
  • Manufacturer:  Walker China 
  • Year of production:  1954 
  • Pattern:  Starucca 
  • Topmark/Logo: Yes - Blue lettered "ERIE" within a white circle inside a blue square. Two blue pinstripes - thicker upper and thinner lower. All pinstriping and RR logos are bright, clear, and in excellent condition, with no blurring or fading  
  • Backstamp: "Walker China - Vitrified - Bedford, Ohio" and "12-32" 
  • Measurements:  Bowl is 5" long, 3 7/8" wide, and 1 1/8" deep 
  • Condition:  Near-Mint condition - The only flaw on this small bowl is a very small manufacturing mark in the glaze at the 6:00 position on the inside of the rim. There are no utensil marks - the glaze is in excellent condition. There is no discoloration, age spotting, chips, cracks, or crazing. All pinstripes and RR logo are in excellent condition  
  • Additional Comments:  Beautiful small bowl in the Starucca pattern of the Erie RR
