ES Prussia Prov Sxe Figural Portrait Cracker Jar

Description: ES Prussia Prov Sxe figural portrait cracker or biscuit jar. The jar features an allegorical transfer encircled by gold stippling. Panels of red and green as well as gold diamonds adorn the sides of the jar. Extensive gold transfer embellishments, and gold handles finish the decoration.   

Dimensions: The dimensions of the jar are 5 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter.

Age: The backstamp reads Prov Sxe ES Germany, dating this piece to about 1900-1920. 

Condition: No cracks or crazing. There is a small chip on the handle of the lid. There is also moderate wear to the gold embellishments, and fairly extensive wear to the handles of both the jar and the lid. The quality of the transfer is good.
