Mr. Wilson has accumulated a treasure trove of valuable items, many of them autographed by some of the biggest stars of the sporting world. Becasue of his media credentials, many items in his collection are limited-edition or even virtually one-of-a-kind. Sold separately, this collection would bring nearly twice as much. But because Mr. Wilson is moving out of state in the near future, he wants to sell his collection whole to a fellow serious collector who appreciates its value and will care for it accordingly. Perusing Mr. Wilson's collection is like a stroll back in time to some of the biggest events in sports with some of its biggest names. There in the cabinet of baseballs is a rare orange ball that Charles O. Finley wanted to replace the traditional white ball. Then there's one signed by Hank Aaron and another signed by Ernie Banks. In a plastic case is one signed by The Tenors.

Other items include a set of the late Sam Snead's golf clubs, a Trek bike, and the first edition of Sports Illustrated magazine. Mr. Wilson's even throwing in several of his media credentials for authenticity.

Mr. Wilson is so protective of his collection that he is willing to drive it to the buyer, providing he or she lives in Michigan or a nearby state. A buyer from a state on the west coast must pay for shipping, as do buyers in most eBay sales.
