WOWSERS! My many years studying and teaching in Europe allowed
me to see and live with many of these olde world traditional
things on a daily basis, and gave me an appreciaton for them.
They have a sturdy charm and uniqueness that one does not find
in most of which surrounds us in America today, the paint - ove
r- it / throw - away society. In my younger days I would find
really ugly wood furniture painted in white in dumpsters, but
after removing 6+ layers of thicky applied paint did I discover
the hidden carved oak Victorian gem hidden beneath it!
