COOLING NECK BANDS

Evaporative Cooling Clothing works under the same principle your body uses to cool itself. Your body sweats, the moisture on your body evaporates and this cools your body. The lower the humidity the greater the ability for the moisture to evaporate and provide the cooling effect.

The polymer crystals turn into gel and hold moisture. The crystals will hold the water in a way that will not make the hat feel wet to the touch after the hat is hydrated properly.

This is our most versatile design. It has a tie closure that can be worn tied around the neck or head. We make a our cooling band narrow and so it's just the right size and lightweight, yet effective. We turn and hide all of our seams and finish our tie ends at an attractive angle for a quality look.

General Use Tips

Soak neckband in water for approximately 5 mins (soaking times will vary depending on local water mineral content)
Crystals may settle to one side of the neckband during shipping
First Time Use: soak the hat for a few minutes to soften the crystals
Massage the softened crystals evenly around the neckband for further hydration
After crystals are properly hydrated, pat the hat dry with a towel, and let the hat sit to the outer desired dryness.
The neckband is ready to wear.
Occasional waving of the neckband will increase general evaporation and the cooling effect.
If the neckband is over hydrated the crystals will continue to absorb water and press through the fabric.
If the neckband is over hydrated, wipe and wash the excess crystals off and pat dry for use.
Over hydration will also decrease the the size of the hat making it feel too tight.

NEW we now offer genuine Transitions Lenses in most of our frames as well as full prescriptions including bifocals and progressive bifocals. We do a full range of lens tints, polarized lenses, and special 1 year warranty scratch resistant coatings as well as high quality Crizal Anti-Reflective Coatings. We also offer the new Drivewear Lens powered by Transitions which is a polarized transitional lens that transitions from high contrast yellow in low light conditions to dark copper in bright conditions making it a great driving lens. Since windshields filter out UV light, most Transitional Photochromic lenses will not work as they require UV light to darken. Drivewear is the only Transitional lens which will work behind a windshield making it the best optical lens for driving on the market. These lenses can be put in our safety and non-safety frames. When put in our safety frames, they will retain their Z87.1 safety compliance
