FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, HERE ISANEXCEPTIONAL ANTIQUE GERMAN VIOLIN CIRCA 1920.
There is no label inside the violin, therefore, I do not know the maker; but it has all the characteristic of the violins made in Markneukirchen of Germany.
It is estimated that this violin was made around 1920. Older violins with good structural condition are becoming very scarce. The demand for these violins is much higher than the available supply. I am always on the look out to locate old healthy violins with good sound, but they are increasingly becoming harder to find.
I ampleased to offer this older, great sounding, German violin on ebay.
The measurements are:
Length of the Back: 356 mm
Upper Bout: 162 mm
Middle Bout: 110 mm
Lower Bout: 203 mm
This violin, aside from three minor cracks, is in excellent condition. One crack extends from the lower part of the treble f hole to the bottom edge of the violin. This crack has been repaired by installing cleats from inside, and is very tight and stable. The other two cracks are very small saddle and wing cracks. Bothe cracks are glued, and due to their small size no cleats were installed. The wing crack extends from the lower eye of the treble f hole upward to the edge. This crack can not grow longer, since one side is open (the eye of the f hole) and the other side is purfling. The saddle crack is to the right of the tail piece and is very tight and stable. The saddle and wing cracks are very common among the older violins.
This is a well made violin with very good sound. It is fully blocked and lined and purfling is inlaid masterfully. The arching is fairly flat and f holes are gracefully cut and fluted. The varnish is original to the violin.
The violin has been setup with a new set of Dominant strings, with a golden fine tuner on E string. The fittings are made of high quality dense ebony. The tuning pegs are fitted perfectly, turn smoothly, and keep the violin in tune.
Sound
Please listen to the sound samples provided below, and judge the violin's sound for yourself. These samples were prepared with a regular inexpensive microphone. The live sound is much much better than the samples, however, the samples will give you some indication as into how this violin sounds.
Almost all the buyers of my violins are in agreement with me that the actual sound of their violins were much better than the sound samples. Please let me know if you agree with this statement, should you end up purchasing this violin.

BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
I buy/sell violins from my home, and set them up myself. I do not have any overhead, and that is why I can offer violins for much less than what you would be paying at a retail violin shop.
I stand one hundred percent behind my violins. Although I have posted several high resolution pictures and sample sound files, you may still return the violin, if you do not like it. You will have 14 days from the date that shipment is postmarked. Refund will be in the form of Money Back, minus shipping and insurance cost.
I will ship the violin via USPS Express (overnight) shipping service, where available. I expect you to do the same, if you wish to return it.
Shipping
This violin will be packed professionally and shipped to the United States destinations.
I ship my violins to Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, South America, or any other country with package size restrictions, in a specially prepared package. The packing process I am using for the countries with package size restriction is very time consuming, but I choose to it because it saves buyers a great deal of money on their shipping cost. It also provides excellent protection for the violin, during its long journey.
There is no bow with this violin.
