If you are looking for anything else for underwater film photography please visit my eBay store by clicking on the eBay store link here or click on the store logo above to see the other equipment for sale in my eBay store. I have over 100 other items in stock in my small business that are not listed. If there is something you are looking for and I don't have it listed please use the "Ask seller a question" link at the top right, and I'll be happy to set up a personalized listing for you with exactly what you are looking for (if I have what you need). This is a Sea&Sea YS-40A strobe that is custom-designed to be used with the Sea&Sea MX-10 camera. While the MX-10 does have a built-in flash, adding a more-powerful external strobe really improves your underwater pictures. This strobe is in excellent cosmetic condition, with a few scuffs and scratches from use that are more visible in person than in the photos below. The battery compartment is clean. I have tested it and it performed perfectly. This strobe comes with a new battery compartment o-ring and tube of o-ring grease and a somewhat battered but perfectly useable original owner's manual. Please look at the detailed photos below. You can look at or download an electronic copy of the manual for this strobe here. The YS-40A's design uses an infrared trigger signal from the MX-10, and does not require any type of sync cord. It only has one o-ring, making flooding much less likely than with some systems with two or three o-rings to take care of. If you would like me to add an optional diffuser for this strobe (recommended for use with the wide angle lens and macro lens set) I will be happy to for an additional $8. Please let me know if you'd like a diffuser added to the listing.
I’ll ship your purchase promptly the first day the U.S. Post Office is opened after I receive your PayPal payment. Shipping cost is calculated by eBay based on the item weight. I do not add any 'handling' or 'packing' charges at all. If there is a significant difference between what eBay estimates the shipping fee will be and what I actually pay to ship to you, I will refund you the difference. If shipping costs more than eBay estimates, I will pay the difference myself. When leaving feedback, please do not mark me down in the ‘Shipping Cost’ area of the ‘Detailed Seller Ratings’ in eBay as that can have a negative impact on the final value fees eBay charges me for my eBay sales. For international customers I have added the option for First Class Mail International (previously known as Airmail Letter Post) for this item. Please note that First Class Mail International DOES NOT offer any method of insurance or tracking, and selecting First Class Mail International is solely at the purchaser's risk if the parcel is lost or damaged. If you do not want to assume all risk, please do not select first Class Mail International shipping service, and it is not appropriate to leave negative feedback for shipping cost, shipping time or other areas if you select First Class shipping for your purchase and there is a problem. Some countries charge people extra customs duty, import tax or value added tax, or fees with other names (like GST in Canada). Purchasers are responsible to pay all such fees. I do not like to understate the value of items on customs paperwork to avoid VAT, GST, customs duties, etc., as that prevents me from properly insuring items. Please note that even the fastest overseas shipping option from where I am, Express Mail International, is still slow and I've had items take weeks to get to some overseas countries. I ask international customers to have patience with the shipping process. When leaving feedback, I also ask customers to please not mark me down in the ‘Shipping time’ area of the ‘Detailed Seller Ratings’ feedback in eBay as long as I shipped promptly from here. I have no ability to affect delivery times after I have shipped from here by the method you select. Marking me down in shipping time can cause me to pay higher eBay fees for my eBay store sales. Per revised eBay payment policy effective January 18th, 2009, I have changed my listings to reflect PayPal as the only approved payment method. Please contact me if you cannot pay via PayPal and we can evaluate alternatives. I have a licensed business in the state of Florida, and I am required to collect 6.5% sales tax for all sales delivered to a Florida address. I normally answer e-mails within 24 hours. If you do not receive a response from me please test your e-mail-sometimes e-mail doesn’t work when the account has a full mailbox or other error. This is very common for HotMail and mail.com users. If you have not received payment info within 1 day please check your e-mail junk folder. A lot of eBay e-mails are accidentally sorted into junk folders. With many customers it's worse--their Internet Service Providers go through phases where they reject everything that mentions eBay or PayPal in an attempt to stop spam! If e-mail doesn’t work for you, please contact me by phone before leaving negative or neutral feedback or marking me down in the detailed seller ratings. You can get my phone number through eBay contact service using the winning item number. Click to go to the eBay user information request page.
Warranty: The pictures are of the equipment I am selling in this listing. I guarantee your purchase will arrive in as-pictured and as-described condition. I will cheerfully accept a return and refund your purchase price and shipping fees if you notify me that you are not 100% satisfied and return your purchase to me in the same condition it was delivered to you within 30 days of receipt.
