I TURNED THIS SET FROM SOME BLACK CHERRY AND PURPLE HEART WOOD THAT I LAMINATED TOGETHER. THE COLOR CONTRAST IS WONDERFUL AND THE CHERRY PICKS UP THE LIGHT TO REFLECT THE GRAIN GOING DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. IT KIND OF GLOWS AS YOU MOVE IT AND ONE BY ONE THE CROSS GRAINS POP OUT.

 AFTER SANDING I TREAT WITH TUNG OIL & THEN SHOOT WITH SEVERAL COATS OF LAQUER TO PROTECT THE WOOD.

THIS SET HAS A BRUSHED SATIN, OR NICKLE, HARDWARE SET ON IT THAT WAS TREATED AT THE FACTORY TO RESIST TARNISH.

THE PENS TAKE A STANDARD BALLPOINT AND THE PENCIL TAKES A .5 LEAD.
