FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING, SIGNED BY AUTHOR (Goldhaber).  This is a new, unopened copy in virtually perfect condition.  The volume is signed by Gerson Goldhaber on the ffep (“To the Smithsonian with compliments of the authors - Gerson Goldhaber 9/11/91”).  There are no other ownership marks or flaws.  AS NEW.

 

This book describes the development of modern particle physics, emphasizing the role and significance of crucial experiments.  This description is supported by a selection of reprints of notable experimental papers of the last fifty years.

 

Scarce at best, quite rare in this wonderful condition and signed.
