This is an original oil painting that is 9 inches wide by 12 inches tall on wood panel, signed in the lower right. It was painted on November 9, 2009 and is a portrait of an Early American. I'm not sure of the name of this particular person. It was painted from a black and white photo with no name attributed to him. I painted it as I felt the colors should look and took liberties painting the figure where needed. If anyone can help with an identification of the person, or the photographer who's work I interpreted, it would be much appreciated.
